On the inside of my lower jaw, back in the molar area, a bump under the gum formed and became very sore below my back molar, eventually the bump broke through the gum and what was exposed looked like a small piece or chip of tooth. Eventually, it came out all together. Now,just as that side has started to heal, the same thing is going on on the other side. I recently had a routine cleaning, with a fine check-up. I have not had any extractions, and I do have some mandibular tori. what is going on, and is this something to be concerned about?

It sounded like a bone chip following the removal of wisdom teeth until you stated you have had no extractions. If you are certain this was not a food substance such as a popcorn husk, then you should let your dentist inspect the area.
