Frequently Asked Questions

I have a broken front tooth. It's one of the biggest front teeth out of the two. I just broke it tonight. It was a tooth that had a root canal because the nerve got damaged from an injury. They put a temporary filling in, but they never finished it because my visit for the real filling I advised them that I found out I was pregnant, so they said they wanted to wait. I need to know if there is anything temporary I can do to fix this, to make it look better, and to make the pain go away atleast until I can figure out how to get to the dentist. I currently have no health insurance.

It is normally safe to have dental treatment during the second and third trimesters of pregnancy. At any rate, dental pain should always be treated as soon as possible. Unfortunately, if the tooth has already had the root canal started, there is no temporary way to treat it.
