Frequently Asked Questions

Hello, I am experiencing teeth sensitivity for the 1st time in my life and want to know what may have caused it and how to keep it from happening again...I am 32 years old. Thanks!

If it is generalized sensitivity to cold, then you may just now have gum recession that exposes roots in your mouth. These get sensitive and can be treated with a good fluoride toothpaste and a gently toothbrush that doesn't cause the gums to recede any more. If the sensitivity is to chewing, you should see your dentist as you might have a broken filling or a cracked tooth. If the tooth is sensitive to hot, it may be an infection, and you should see your dentist as soon as possible.
