Frequently Asked Questions

I just had a tooth pulled. Will the hole in my gum eventually close up or fill in, or will there always be a big hole there? I really don't want a huge hole in my gums. What are my options?

The mouth has an amazing ability to heal. As long as you are healthy, the hole will fill in with new bone in about 6-9 months. There will always be a depression where the tooth was extracted, but it will be smooth and even. The bone will continue to shrink over the years slowly, but the hole will fill in.
