Frequently Asked Questions

For the past few weeks my sister has been getting severe headaches because of her wisdom teeth (which need to be pulled out), so I tried to research for things she could take or do to ease the pain until she does get them pulled. So far I haven't had any luck at finding anything (besides things like Advil/Tylenol/Excedrine, etc.) and I was wondering if you would be able to suggest anything she could do to help the pain abate until she finally does get her wisdom teeth out? Please help because sometimes the pain is so bad that she can't sleep and she has even thrown up. Thank you!

It depends on the origin of the pain. If the wisdom teeth are trying to erupt and have poked through the gums, then oragel or any other topical anesthetic will help. If the teeth are decayed, then nothing is going to help. Pain is one of the ways our body tells us that something is wrong and should not be ignored.
