DentaQuest Names Fay Donohue New CEO -- 3/23/2007
Succeeds Dr. Robert Hunter at helm of one of the country’s leading dental benefit management firms.
(Boston) Fay Donohue, the current President and Chief Operating Officer of DentaQuest, was today named by the company’s Board of Directors as its Chief Executive Officer. Ms. Donohue succeeds Dr. Robert Hunter who recently announced his intention to retire in May of 2007.

In the 5 years that Ms. Donohue has served as COO (as well as president for the past 2 years) of DentaQuest, she has been instrumental in driving the company’s tremendous growth and building it into one of the nation’s largest dental benefits management companies, serving over 11 million people in 18 states and the District of Columbia with both commercial and government dental programs.
With more than 25 years of experience in the healthcare industry, Ms. Donohue also has held positions as Executive Vice President of Delta Dental of Massachusetts and Vice President of Planning and Marketing at Chartwell Home Therapies.
She is a trustee of the Mass Eye and Ear Infirmary, a trustee of the Mass Taxpayers Association, a member of the board of Operation Able, former Vice Chair of the Foundation for Education in Lincoln Sudbury, and has served on the boards of the National Association of Dental Plans and the Campfire Boys and Girls Clubs.
Ms. Donohue earned a B.A. at Bryn Mawr College, an M.A. at the Tufts University Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy, and an M.B.A. at Boston College.
DentaQuest provides and administers a full range of commercial dental programs, and is one of the largest administrators of government dental programs. Headquartered in Boston, Massachusetts, DentaQuest has a regional office that serves Maryland, Virginia, and the District of Columbia. The company’s Doral business unit, which administers Medicaid plans in 18 states, is based in Mequon, Wisconsin.
