Take care of your child's baby teeth!

Healthy baby teeth:

  • Hold space for the adult teeth to grow into.
  • Allow kids to eat right.
  • Help kids speak clearly.
  • Work to keep the rest of the body well.
  • Help children do better in school because they are not in pain.
  • Allow children to feel good about their smiles.

Baby Teeth are Important

  • Brushing baby teeth will create good oral health care habits for your child as he or she grows.
  • Brush the teeth with fluoride toothpaste 2 times every day. One time should be at bedtime.
  • Start flossing your child’s teeth when the teeth begin to touch each other. Floss the teeth every day.
  • Give your child snacks that are low in sugar, like vegetables, fruit, and cheese.
