Steve Pollock

Steve Pollock currently serves in an advisory capacity for the Sun Life U.S. Dental business, which includes DentaQuest. Most recently, he was President, Dental upon Sun Life’s acquisition of DentaQuest in 2022, and moved to the advisory role after the successful completion of several major integration milestones.

Steve has spent the last 25 years dedicated to increasing access to health care and improving the oral health of all. His commitment to that mission resulted in Preventistry®, a holistic approach that centers on preventive and quality care, expanded access and solutions built on valued relationships across the health care ecosystem. Under Steve’s stewardship as CEO and President, he built the nation’s second-largest dental benefits provider and the largest administrator of Medicaid and CHIP dental benefits, by membership. He also helped establish a growing network of approximately 80 dental practices to deliver direct patient care in underserved communities across the United States.

Prior to assuming the role of president and CEO of DentaQuest in 2015, Steve held several other senior leadership positions at the company, including chief operating officer, executive vice president, and vice president of market development and general counsel.

Steve chairs the board of directors for RIZE Massachusetts, a nonprofit foundation working to end the opioid epidemic, and is a member of CEO Action for Diversity and Inclusion. He has also served on the boards of the Massachusetts Association of Health Plans, the CareQuest Institute and Oral Health America. He is a member of the Massachusetts Business Roundtable, the state bar of Wisconsin and is a certified public accountant in Ohio.

Steve holds a Bachelor of Business Administration (BBA) from the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, and a Juris Doctor (JD) from the University of Wisconsin Law School.
