Bad breath (also known as halitosis) comes from certain foods, lack of oral hygiene, gum disease, dry mouth, tobacco, or medical problems.

A few simple steps can make your breath fresh again:

  • Brush your teeth and the top of your tongue twice a day
  • Floss once a day
  • Don't use tobacco
  • Go to the dentist twice a year for a professional cleaning

If you do all these things but still have bad breath, talk with your dentist or doctor. They will work with you to find out what is wrong.
