Florida Healthy Kids recently awarded DentaQuest a contract to continue providing dental managed care to enrollees in the state’s CHIP program. DentaQuest has been a partner to the State of Florida since the Healthy Kids program began 20 years ago, managing benefits for more than 1.9 million dental and more than half a million vision Medicaid, CHIP, Medicare Advantage and Health Exchange enrollees.
DentaQuest, the nation’s leading purpose-driven oral health care organization, was selected as one of three program administrators. Operations for the three-year contract begin July 1.
In alignment with the state’s goals, DentaQuest will continue promoting prevention-focused oral care and investing in improved oral health outcomes and access to care for all Floridians through programs and partnerships with community organizations. For example, DentaQuest recently provided a $10,000 contribution to help Zebra Coalition Inc., provide dental care for LGBTQ+ Florida youth ages 13 to 24.
“Florida has a long history of promoting optimal health for people across the state,” said Steve Pollock, DentaQuest’s president and CEO. “We are grateful for our partnership with Florida Healthy Kids and look forward to increasing access to oral health care for everyone, particularly for the most vulnerable communities.”
